I'm Japanese, but I write music in English because that concept is at the root of it all. However, I'd never asked someone how Japanese rock and pop sounds from a foreign perspective, so I decided to ask.
I would like to hear the good points of Japanese Vocaloid songs from a foreigner's perspective.There is a fundamental difference between writing lyrics in English and writing lyrics in Japanese.In English, there is one word per note, but in Japanese, there is a tendency to have one letter per note. This difference causes problems for Japanese people, as music such as rock music that originated in English-speaking countries does not fit into Japanese songs.

こちらこそコメントありがとうございます！私は2008年からずっとボカロのファンです。みきとPさん、KZ（Livetune）さん、じんさんのようなアーティストの曲を聴いて育ちました。他にもたくさん好きなアーティストはいますが、その中でも特にお気に入りです。
日本のポップやロックのサウンドには、とても感傷的な雰囲気があって、それが何よりも大好きです。アメリカのポップやロックも素晴らしい音楽がたくさんありますが、歌詞に意味が込められていないことが多いと感じます。メロディーも攻撃的すぎたり、曲のメッセージが醜かったり、あるいは何も伝えようとしていないことが多いです。
日本の音楽に惹かれたのは、美しい物語と心に響くメロディーが込められた曲がたくさんあるからです。私は、何か美しくて意味のある音を追い求めたいと思っています。

作曲に関してですが、英語でミクを使うのは本当に難しいです！おっしゃる通り、英語では1音節が1つの音符になるので、そのせいで速いテンポの曲を作ると歌詞が聞き取りにくくなってしまいます。英語でのボーカロイドの使い方を学べるガイドもあまりないので、限られた知識の中でできるだけ頑張っています。Hatsune Miku V4Xの英語音源があるおかげで、英単語を自然に使えるのは本当にありがたいですね（笑）。
